Farmers initiated Healthy Food For All and continue to be the driving force behind its collective efforts to end hunger in our community. It makes sense that the people maintaining the health of our land and soil are the lifeblood to growing a healthy community. Together, they educate, fundraise, and engage people who otherwise might not benefit from the strong network of local farms in our beautiful landscape.
Now ending nutritional hunger for close to 200 families, HFFA is recognized as one of our region’s leading community food security programs. While that statistic is impressive in itself, our value extends well beyond the short-term benefit of meeting immediate needs, by building self-sufficiency and strengthening community capacity to address system-level barriers preventing access to fresh local food.
