2016 Earth Week Events at TC3

EARTH WEEK EVENTS at TC3 2016 – April 18th-24th

Monday, 4/18, 12:00 – 1:00, room 210; How a Carbon Fee can Save the Environment, Stop Terrorism, and Grow our Economy, by Pat Sewell – Bring your lunch!

Since the 1970’s, the U.S. has struggled with problems stemming from our dependence on oil. Foreign analysts have tracked oil’s role in destabilizing the Middle East, while at the same time, climate scientists have tracked oil’s role in destabilizing the climate. The sooner the U.S. gets off fossil fuels, the sooner we stop funding terrorists; and the sooner we save the climate. Hear more about the problems of fossil fuels, how the U.S. can wean itself off them, and how you can get involved.

Pat Sewell is a member of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby, a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots advocacy organization focused on national polices to address climate change. He is also an adjunct instructor of Environmental Studies at TC3.
