Organic produce, hands-on learning
As one half of the College’s Farm to Bistro program, the TC3 Farm is located adjacent to the College’s Dryden campus and will supply fresh produce to the College’s downtown Ithaca restaurant and culinary center, Coltivare.
The farm directly supports students in the College’s innovative Sustainable Farming and Food Systems program, but classes and volunteer opportunities will be open to all members of the TC3 community.
The farm will be certified organic after going through a transition period and will include a greenhouse and hoop houses for year-round growing, as well as an orchard and other exciting agricultural opportunities still in development. Students will experience cultivation of the land using sustainable farming practices on a farm which we intend to have run free of the commercial energy grid through the use of solar and geothermal technology.
